I did it! I made my stage debut at last! Some of you may know, I am not only a peculiar fisherman but also a peculiar rapper. This morning I finally made my first stage appearance at Mitsu. But, it was far from a success. The audience didn’t welcome me at all. They completely ignored my performance. Whatever I did on the stage, no one responded. I was sad for a while, but was greatly comforted when one of the two lure fishermen came up on the stage and started a pleasant chat with me about American reels and lures. What in the world am I talking about? I am talking about today’s fishing, not my rap performance. There is a fishing spot called “Butai” in Mitsu, and “butai” means a stage in English. Sticking out toward the ocean, “Butai” actually looks like a stage. This morning I fished on the stage for the first time, but the audience (fish) wasn’t kind today!
（やりました！ 私はついにステージデビューを果たしたのです！ ご存知の方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、私は、風変わりな釣り人であるだけでなく、風変わりなラッパーでもあるのです。今朝、ついに私は、御津において初舞台を踏んだのです。しかしそれは、とても成功とは言えないものでした。観客は私を全く歓迎してくれなかったのです。彼らは私のパフォーマンスを完全に無視しました。舞台上で私が何をしても、誰からも反応がないのです。私はしばらく悲しんでいたのですが、二人組のルアー釣り師のうちの一人が舞台に上がってきてくれて、アメリカのリールやルアーについて、楽しいおしゃべりが始まったので、私は大いに慰められたのでした。いったい何のことかって？ 私は、ラップの話ではなく、今日の釣りの話をしているのです。御津には「舞台」と呼ばれる釣り場があるのです。海に向かって突き出している「舞台」は、本当に舞台のようです。今朝、私は初めて「舞台」で釣りました。ただし今日は客層（魚）が悪かった！）
