I returned to Takasaki-bana in Mitsu this morning. Why did I return in spite of no fish yesterday? First, I got instantly fascinated by the new fishing spot. Second, I witnessed something interesting yesterday, although I didn’t mention it in my last post. Yesterday I saw one flying fish jumping out of the water and gliding above the surface for a surprisingly long time. It was pretty close to the shore. I realized the possibility that the flying fish was being chased by some pelagic fish. So I decided to return to Takasaki-bana. Because I didn’t need to cut weeds this time, I was not tired at all when I reached the shore. Expecting a big pelagic fish to chase one of my Roberts Lures, I reeled in the lure fast. Unfortunately nothing happened, but I was not disappointed at all. Somehow I remained thrilled with eager anticipation.
（今朝は、御津の高崎鼻に戻りました。昨日は魚が釣れなかったのに、なぜ私は戻ってきたのでしょう。まず私は、その新しい釣り場に一瞬で魅了されてしまいました。次に、前回の投稿では触れませんでしたが、昨日、興味深いものを目撃したのです。１匹のトビウオが水面から飛び出し、驚くほど長い時間、水面上を滑空しているのを見たのです。それはかなり岸の近くでした。私は、トビウオが遠洋魚に追われている可能性に気づきました。そこで、高崎鼻に戻ることにしたのです。今回は雑草を刈る必要がなかったので、岸辺に着いたときには全く疲れていませんでした。大型の遠洋魚がロバーツのルアーを追ってくることを期待して、素早くルアーを巻きました。残念ながら何も起きませんでしたが、私は全く失望していませんでした。どういうわけかずっと、期待に胸を膨らませ続けていたのです。）
