I had completed all of my translation assignments by noon today, and fortunately the rain had stopped by 1 p.m. So I went to Lake Shinji this afternoon. Although the rain had stopped, the sky was still cloudy when I started throwing my lures about 2 p.m. They say a cloudy sky is much better than a clear sky for the Japanese sea bass fishing. The lake was moderately choppy, and the water was favorably muddy due to the rain. My anticipations were raised, but nothing happened to my lures. There was another lure fisherman at the shore. He works at one of local tackle shops, and I have considered him as a master of the Japanese sea bass fishing. I had a chat with him at the shore, and he told me he had caught a big one of 82 cm (32 in.) long. Although unresponsive to my lures, the fish might have been active in the water.
