(No. 117) No Fish at Kurauchi Bay, Koura Public Beach, and Nanbo in Etomo Harbor (倉内湾と古浦海水浴場と恵曇港の南防にて釣果なし)

My Japanese sea bass chase was continued. First I was standing on the rock at Kurauchi Bay shortly after daybreak. The water was rough and it should have been good for Japanese sea bass fishing, but there was no response from the fish. Then, I drove to Koura Public Beach to fish at the adjacent rocky beach. The waves were a bit too high to fish comfortably. So I went to Etomo Harbor.

（私のスズキの追っかけは続きます。最初に私は、夜明けの直後、倉内湾の岩場に立っていたのでした。海は荒れていて、スズキ釣りには良いはずなのですが、魚からの反応はありません。続いて、古浦海水浴場に行きました。その隣の岩場で釣るためでしたが、波が高すぎて快適に釣りができませんでした。ですので、恵曇港に行きました。）

I saw a pair of lure fishermen, who told me that there were no baitfish around and they didn’t catch any fish at the harbor. One of them kindly informed me that he had easily caught some Japanese sea bass and Japanese Spanish mackerels at the tip of Nanbo, a breakwater in the harbor, around sunset yesterday. He suggested that there might be baitfish again this evening. Although I didn’t catch any fish at Nanbo this morning, I am going to try again this afternoon.

（恵曇港では２人組みのルアー釣り師をお見かけしました。ベイトフィッシュ（大きな魚の餌となる小魚）がおらず、彼らは恵曇港では何も釣れなかったそうです。そのうちのお一人が親切に教えてくれたところでは、昨日の夕方頃、恵曇港の防波堤の一つ、南防の先端で数匹のスズキとサワラが入れ食いだったそうです。今夕もまた、ベイトフィッシュが現れるかもしれないとのことでした。今朝は南防で何も釣れませんでしたが、今日の午後、また行ってみるつもりです。）
