I could not drive away the image of big
Japanese sea bass that was landed but eventually missed yesterday. The fish briefly
stayed on the edge of the rock after the hook came out. This morning I used my heaviest tackle, Okinawa Manbika 110SXH rod & PENN Torque 9 spinning reel with 65 lb line. Instead of landing a fish onto the edge of rocks with the help of the waves as I did
yesterday, I would pull it directly out of the water to avoid the same
misfortune.
（釣り上げたものの結局逃してしまった、昨日の大きなスズキのイメージを頭から追い払うことができませんでした。その魚は、針がはずれた後、ちょっとだけ岩場の端でじっとしていたのでした。今朝、私は、いちばんヘビーなタックルを使いました。65 lbのラインを巻いたPENNのトルク９というリールと、オキナワ・マンビカ110SXHという竿です。昨日やったように、波の力を利用して、岩場の端に魚を引き上げるのではなく、魚を直接、海から抜き上げて、昨日のような不幸が起きないようにするつもりでした。）
I started fishing about 10 a.m., and
after a few casts, I found another lure fisherman came to the spot. We
exchanged information. He told me that fish would
come inside this bay when the open sea got rough as it did today. Shortly after he
headed for another part of the bay, I hooked a Japanese sea bass with Hopkins
No=Eql (4.5 oz.). As I planned in advance, I pulled the fish directly out of the
water. The fish was 60 cm (24 in.) long, smaller than the one hooked yesterday but very
beautiful.
（午前10時頃から釣り始め、数キャストしたところで、別のルアー釣り師がやって来たことに気づきました。私たちは情報を交換しました。彼が言うには、今日のように外海が荒れている時には、魚がこの湾の内側にやって来るそうです。湾内の別の場所に彼が向かって行った直後に、ホプキンス No=Eql（4.5 oz.）にスズキがかかりました。計画していた通り、私は魚を直接、海から抜き上げました。全長60センチで、昨日釣り上げたものよりも小さかったのですが、とても美しい魚でした。）
