This is the 1000th post! This is actually the 1005th because there were 5 unnumbered posts, but I would like to celebrate this milestone anyway. So I created a video at Saruwatari in Nonami this morning. As you might know, I am an ambidextrous fisherman. I am not ambidextrous by nature, but I taught myself to be able to cast a lure with my left hand too (No. 850). Since I became able to cast with both hands, I have used a “double-handled” spinning reel, a reel with one handle on each side of it (No. 244). I have also wanted to use “double-handled” conventional or baitcasting reels as I explained on No. 700, but it’s impossible to attach two handles to one baitcasting reel. So I came up with another idea, which is to turn my baitcasting reel upside down (No. 722). The video I created shows how I do it. Enjoy!
（これが1000番目の投稿になります。通し番号の付いていない投稿が過去に５つあったので、実際には1005番目の投稿なのですが、ともかく私はこの節目を祝いたいのです。ということで今朝、野波の猿渡で動画を作りました。ご存知の方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、私は両利きの釣り師です。生まれつき両利きだったわけではなく、左手でもルアーを投げられるよう練習したのです（No. 850）。両手で投げられるようになってからは「ダブルハンドル化」されたスピニングリール、つまり左右に一つずつハンドルの付いたリールを使ってきました（No. 244）。私は、両軸リールやベイトリールもまた「ダブルハンドル化」したかったのですが、No. 700でご説明した通り、２つのハンドルを１台のベイトリールに取り付けることは不可能なのです。そこで私は、ベイトリールを逆さまにする方法を思いついたのでした（No. 722）。動画をご覧になれば、私がどんなふうにそれをやっているかが分かります。お楽しみください！）
