I started today’s fishing at Maruiwa in Owashi. The sea was moderately choppy and looked promising. When I was retrieving my Roberts Ranger on the surface, I saw a white streak sharply crossing just behind the lure. It looked a predatory fish, but I was not very sure. Then the strong crosswind started blowing, so I had to leave Maruiwa and walk to Susumi-hana. At Susumi-hana I was able to use the wind favorably for me. Still, no fish attacked my lures. On my way to the parking space after I quit fishing, I found a string of floaters drifted ashore. They must have been some professional fishing gear. I cut the string and collected four floaters. I came up with an idea. I might be able to create simple lures from these floaters.
（今日の釣りは大芦の丸岩で開始しました。海はほどほどに波立っており、期待が持てそうでした。ロバーツのレンジャーを水面で引いていた時、そのすぐ後ろを、白い筋が鋭く横切るのが見えました。肉食魚のようでしたが、それほど確信があるわけではありません。そして横風が強く吹き始めたので、私は丸岩を離れ、須々海鼻に移動しました。須々海鼻では、その風を追い風として利用することができました。しかし、私のルアーを襲う魚はいません。釣りを終えて駐車スペースへ戻る途中、紐でつながれた浮きが漂着しているのを見つけました。漁業で使う道具に違いありません。私は紐を切断し、浮きを４つ、頂戴しました。アイデアが浮かんだのです。これらの浮きから、単純なルアーを作ることができるかもしれません。）
