As I announced on my last post, I asked my mother, who is good at calligraphy, to write the message on my new signboard. It says, “Don’t leave cigarette butts. ‘Bebe’ shellfish might taste bad.” This morning I set up the new signboard on the short slope to Kurauchi Bay. I hope this signboard will work as a deterrent to some ill-mannered fishermen. After I enjoyed throwing my favorite plugs in vain, I noticed there was an open cardboard box in front of an official signboard against poaching. I thought it was just garbage or something, but actually there was old fishing gear inside of it, such as reels, floats, and sinkers. I supposed someone intentionally put the box full of unnecessary fishing gear in front of the signboard because he or she didn’t like to just dispose of them but to allow anyone interested to take it. So if you are interested, go to Kurauchi Bay and check it out. I probably will take care of them in a few days.
（前回の投稿でお知らせした通り、書道が得意な母に頼んで、新しい看板にメッセージを書いてもらいました。「タバコをポイ捨てしないでネ。ベベ貝が不味くなりそう」と書いてあります。今朝、倉内湾へと至る短い坂道に、この新しい看板を設置しました。この看板が、マナーの悪い釣り人への抑止力になればいいのですが。さて、お気に入りのルアーを楽しく投げて無駄に終わった後、密漁防止の公式看板の前に、段ボール箱が開いて置かれているのに気づきました。最初はただのゴミか何かだと思ったのですが、中には、リールやウキ、おもりなど、古い釣り道具が入っているのでした。不要な釣り道具をただ捨てるのを好まない誰かが、興味のある人が持って行けるようにと、わざと看板の前に箱を置かれたのではないでしょうか。もし興味があれば、倉内湾に行って確認してみてください。数日たったら、私の方で適切に片付けようかと思っています。）
