When I arrived at the parking space for Saruwatari or Naka-bana in Nonami slightly after 7 a.m., I found there was a car parked on the side of Saruwatari. I presumed that Saruwatari was already taken. So I left my car on the opposite side and started walking to Naka-bana, the other fishing spot separated from Saruwatari by an inaccessible cliff. That’s why I got a bit disappointed to find that two fishermen were at Naka-bana, not at Saruwatari. They were bait fishermen, so it was not easy for them to share the fishing spot with a lure fisherman like me. They told me that it was their first time they had tried the fishing spot.
（午前７時を少し過ぎた頃、野波の猿渡あるいは中鼻へ行くための駐車スペースに到着した私は、その猿渡側に１台の車が残されていることに気づきました。私は、猿渡には先客があるのだな、と考えました。そこで私は、駐車スペースの反対側に車を置くと、接近不可能な崖によって猿渡と切り離されている別の釣り場、中鼻へと歩き始めたのです。したがって、２人の釣り人が、猿渡ではなく中鼻にいるのに気づいた時、私は少々がっかりしました。彼らはエサ釣り師だったので、私のようなルアー釣り師と一緒に釣り場に立つのは容易ではないのです。彼らは、この釣り場に来たのは初めてだと言いました。）
I respectfully instructed them where to park a car in the parking space. If you go to Saruwatari, you should leave your car on the side of Saruwatari. If you go to Naka-bana, you should on the side of Naka-bana. And a following fisherman can know which fishing spot is taken. After wishing them good luck, I walked back to the parking space and then took the path to Saruwatari. I started fishing about 8:30 a.m. and stopped it one hour later. No fish attacked my lures, but I enjoyed casting my favorite lures and performing the ongoing experiment with an old PENN conventional reel for using a large spinner.
（私は駐車スペースのどちら側に車を駐めるべきか丁寧に説明しました。もしも猿渡に行くのなら猿渡側に車を残します。中鼻に行くのなら中鼻側に残します。そうすれば、後続の釣り人は、どちらの釣り場に先客がいるか分かるのです。私は彼らの幸運を祈ってから、駐車スペースまで歩いて戻り、こんどは猿渡へと続く道を進みました。午前８時半頃から釣り始め、１時間後に釣り終えました。私のルアーを魚が襲うことはありませんでしたが、お気に入りのルアーを投げたり、PENNの古い両軸リールで巨大スピナーを使うという、継続中の実験を行ったりして、楽しみました。）
