Because I got tired of not receiving any response from the Japanese sea bass in Lake Shinji, I went to Safuki-bana in Nonami this morning. I found nature was winning again on the path to Safuki-bana. The weeds were thriving. I courageously stood up with a pair of shears in order to stop their advance. When I reached Safuki-bana, I got refreshingly tired. There was nothing in the sea. No fish was around. The temporary break from the fishing at Lake Shinji revived my interest in the lake. So I drove to Lake Shinji after the unproductive fishing at Safuki-bana. On the shore of the lake I enjoyed a nice chat with a lure fisherman who said he came from the Kanto district. I kindly gave a few tips on the fishing at the lake (although they might not work). Except for that nice chat, nothing exciting happened.
（宍道湖のスズキから何の反応もないことに嫌気がさした私は、今朝は野波のサフキ鼻に出かけました。サフキ鼻に向かう小道では、またもや自然が勝利を収めつつありました。雑草が繁茂しているのです。私は、雑草の進攻を食い止めるため、草刈りハサミを携えて、果敢に立ち上がりました。サフキ鼻に到着する頃には、心地よい疲れに包まれていました。海には何もいませんでした。魚の姿はありません。宍道湖での釣りを一時中断したことにより、宍道湖への興味が蘇っていました。ですので私は、無益だったサフキ鼻での釣りを終えると、宍道湖に車を走らせました。関東から来られたというルアー釣り師と、湖畔で、楽しいおしゃべりをしました。親切な私は、湖での釣りのコツを少し教えてあげました（が、効果はないかもしれません）。その楽しいおしゃべりを除いては、何もエキサイティングなことは起きませんでした。）
