(No. 1079) No Second Loach under Willow Tree (柳の下にて２匹目のドジョウなし)

“There aren’t always loaches under the willow tree” or “Trying to catch the second loach under the willow tree.” (“Yanagi no shita ni itsumo dojo wa inai” or “Yanagi no shita no nihikime no dojo wo nerau”). They are famous Japanese proverbs, which might correspond to two English proverbs, “There are no birds of this year in last year's nests.” and “You can't make a soufflé rise twice.” Since my last post, I have been to Lake Shinji several times with a variety of lures, but there isn’t the second loach under the willow tree. To be more precise, there isn’t the second Japanese sea bass at Lake Shinji.
