The Japanese sea bass season in Lake Shinji might not have really started yet. Indeed, I can see a few fishing boats in the distance, and I am sure that they are on the lake because they are catching the fish, but nothing has happened to me since I caught my first fish of the season. The only creatures I can see in the water are rays. They are plenty. I wish the rays were the kind of fish that would respond to lures.
