As I reported on my earlier posts (No. 1361 and 1362), I have applied the “One Barbless Single Hook Solution” to all of my plugs, which originally had multiple treble hooks. Now all of my plugs have just one barbless single hook. I invented this peculiar solution on the basis of the “One Hook Solution,” which has been advocated by Mr. Dave Anderson & Mr. Jerry Audet. Probably I am one and only practitioner in the world of my inventive solution. Although I am completely satisfied with my solution, today I realized that I have not caught any fish on any of my plugs treated with the solution. So this afternoon I did my best to catch a fish. I selected the Super Strike Zig Zag and Northbar Bottledarter, both of which I believe are remarkably versatile and effective, from my lure arsenal. It was windy, and the sea was rough this afternoon, so I thought I might catch the Japanese sea bass on either of the two plugs. I started at Etomo Harbor. Then I went to Kurauchi Bay and Mitsu Harbor. No fish responded today. I hope it won’t be too long before I can prove that my plugs with one barbless single hook are as effective as those with multiple treble hooks.
