This morning I used four lures, which were classified into the following two categories: lures for faster retrieving (Roberts Whistler and Charlie Graves Swimming Tins - D-5) and lures for slower retrieving (Super Strike Zig Zag and Guppy Lures 2-3/8 oz. Mini). Using those four lures at a broad range of speed, I think I have covered all speeds at which fishing lures could be reasonably used. Although the surface was sometimes rippled by small fish, the fact of which probably indicated the existence of predators, whatever speed of those lures didn’t produce any strike.
（今朝は４つのルアーを使いました。それらは２つのカテゴリーに分類されます。高速リトリーブ用（ロバーツ・ホイッスラーとチャーリー・グレイブス・スイミング・ティンズのD-5）と低速リトリーブ用（スーパーストライク・ジグザグとグッピールアーの2-3/8オンス・ミニ）です。これら４つのルアーを幅広い速度域で使用することで、釣り用ルアーを適切に使用する上での速度をすべて試すことができたと思います。時折、小魚が水面を波立たせていて、これはおそらく捕食魚の存在を示唆するものだったと思われますが、どのようなルアーの速度であれ、ストライクは起きませんでした。）
