The historic heat wave continues. I visit Kurauchi Bay every afternoon. It’s so refreshing to dive into the bay under the glaring sun at the maximum temperature. However, the scorching afternoon probably is not the best time for fishing. So today I woke up early in the morning and arrived at the bay before the sun showed up over the mountain. Before exposed to the sun, the fishing spot was cool with a refreshing breeze. I threw my favorite plugs such as the Super Strike Zig Zag. I hoped that fish in the bay should feel as refreshed as me and get intrigued by my plug, but nothing happened. Then the sun rose up. As soon as the fishing spot was exposed to it, the whole world changed into a hell, and I started feeling dizzy. I found a man standing on the nearby rock, looking at me. I had not noticed he was there because the rock had been in the shade. I waved him, and he wave me back at the same time. I felt dizzy due to the heat, so I left the fishing spot only wishing him a good luck.
（記録的な猛暑が続く中、毎日午後、倉内湾に通っています。最高気温のギラギラとした太陽の下、湾内に飛び込むのは爽快です。しかし、灼熱の午後というのは、釣りには適さない時間帯かもしれません。そこで今日は早起きをして、太陽が山の向こうに姿を現す前に倉内湾に行ってみました。まだ太陽にさらされていない釣り場は涼しくて、爽やかな風が吹いていました。スーパーストライク・ジグザグなど、お気に入りのプラグを投げてみました。湾内の魚も、私と同じように爽快感を感じ、プラグに興味を持ってくれることを期待しましたが、全く反応はありません。そして太陽が昇りました。釣り場が陽光にさらされた途端、世界は地獄と化しました。私は目が回り始めました。すると、近くの岩の上に、私を見つめる男が立っているのです。その岩はそれまで日陰にあったので、そんなところに人がいることに私は気づきませんでした。私が手を振ると、男も同時に手を振り返しました。暑さで目の回る私は、男の幸運をただ祈って、釣り場を後にしました。）
