It has been so hot that my brain feels as if it were brought to a boil and I cannot remember many things. For example, how many consecutive days have I been to Kurauchi Bay? I don’t remember for sure. So I check my diary and find I have been there four days in a row. Wow. I have not caught any fish so far. The bay has been so calm and quiet. It’s almost like an indoor pool. First I throw my lures several times in vain, and then I take off my clothes and jump into the water. I don’t catch fish, but I have the beautiful bay all to myself.
（暑すぎて頭が沸騰したように熱くなり、多くのことを思い出せません。例えば、倉内湾には何日連続で行っているのでしょうか？ はっきり思い出せません。そこで日記を見てみると、なんと、４日連続、通っています。わあ。まだ魚は釣れていません。湾内は静かで穏やかです。まるで屋内プールのようです。まずルアーを何度か投げますが成果はなく、私は服を脱いで水に飛び込むのです。魚は釣れませんが、美しい湾を独り占めです。）
