I was on my way to Saruwatari or Safuki-bana in Nonami this early morning when I noticed a small darker portion of the sea beyond Mitsu Harbor. It was a boil. The surface of the boil was choppier than that of surrounding sea surface. I changed my plans and decided to go to Senjojiki in Mitsu. I knew my lures could not reach the boil even from the tip of Senjojiki, but I had a hunch that the boil would move toward Senjojiki and sooner or later I would eventually be able to get my lures to the boil. To my very surprise (because my hunch is rarely right when it comes to fishing...), the boil actually moved toward Senjojiki and finally reached just in front of me. My lures even flew over the boil. I got a strike on one of my Guppy pencil poppers, to which the so-called “One Hook Solution” had been applied. The fish pulled hard, but not as hard as the yellowtail amberjack, so it was probably a Japanese amberjack or something. I am not sure because it came off before I could get a glimpse of the fish body.
（今朝早く、野波の猿渡かサフキ鼻へ向かっていた時、御津港の向こうの海に少しだけ暗い部分があるのに気づきました。それはナブラでした。ナブラの表面は、周囲の海面よりも波立っていました。私は予定を変更し、御津の千畳敷へ向かうことにしました。たとえ千畳敷の先端からであっても、そのナブラに私のルアーが届かないことは分かっていましたが、私には予感があって、ナブラが千畳敷の方へ移動し、そのうちルアーをナブラに届けられるだろうという気がしたのです。驚いたことに（なぜなら釣りに関しては私の予感は滅多に的中しないので…）ナブラは本当に千畳敷の方へと動き、ついには私の眼の前にまで到達したのです。私のルアーは、ナブラの上を飛び越えていくほどでした。いわゆる「ワンフック・ソリューション」を施したグッピーのペンシル・ポッパーにストライクがありました。魚は強く引きましたが、ヒラマサほど強くはなかったので、おそらくブリか何かでしょう。魚体が見える前にバレてしまったので確かではありません。）
