The weather forecast said that the waves would be 1 meter high this morning. So I believed I would enjoy relatively carefree comfortable fishing, but I realized there was a strong swell around Maruiwa as soon as I reached the fishing spot about 7 a.m. In general, swells could be more dangerous than waves. Staying alert to the swells, I cast my favorite lures. Or I should say, casting my favorite lures, I remained alert to the swells. Still, I got wet a few times with the spray from the swells. When I was using my orange Roberts Whistler, I felt I saw a streak of white spray running swiftly along the lure. I was not sure if it was a fish, but still it made me excited.
