Because more than 2 weeks had passed since my last fishing trip, today’s fishing was full of freshness. The water seemed to become too cold for swimming at last. I found no trace of the summer even in Susumi Bay. The waves were higher than I had expected listening to the weather forecast. There were nice patches of sarashi (white churning water) in Susumi Bay, so I thought I might catch a Japanese sea bass. The conditions seemed promising, but nothing happened. Then I climbed over the hill to reach Maruiwa. Patches of sarashi were bigger around Maruiwa and my anticipation surged. The waves occasionally surged too, but no predatory fish attacked my lures.
（前回の釣行から２週間以上が経過していたため、今日の釣りは新鮮さで一杯でした。ついに海は、泳ぐには冷たすぎる水温になったようです。須々海湾においてすら夏の名残りは見当たりません。天気予報から予測していたよりも高い波が立っています。須々海湾には、良いサラシ（かき混ぜられた白い水）ができていたので、スズキが釣れるかもしれないと私は思いました。状況は良さそうでしたが、何も起きません。続いて私は、丸岩へと至る丘を登りました。丸岩周辺にはより大きなサラシができていたので、私の期待は高まりました。波もまた、時折、高まりましたが、私のルアーを襲う肉食魚はいませんでした。）
