I went to the exactly same spot at Lake Shinji as I
did yesterday. The spot is behind the legendary Japanese-style inn, Shoheikaku.
Usually you can see some people jogging or walking on the lakeside bank, but
this evening there was almost nobody around me because it was raining
lightly. My Northbar Flying Squid did it
again. This 20 cm pencil popper lured one fish into making a big explosion on
the surface, but this time the fish bit it firmly. It was a big Japanese sea
bass measuring 86 cm (34 in.) long.
（宍道湖へ行き、昨日とまったく同じ場所で釣りをしました。よく知られた和風旅館、松平閣の後ろです。ふだんなら、ジョギングをしている人や歩いている人の姿がある湖畔の土手なのですが、今夕は、私以外、ほとんど、人の姿はありませんでした。ずっと小雨が降っていたからです。ノースバー・フライング・スクイッド（空飛ぶイカ）が、またやってくれました。この20センチのペンシル・ポッパーは、またもや魚をそそのかし、水面に大きな爆発を起こさせたのです。でも今日は、魚はしっかりルアーにかみついていました。86センチもの大きさのスズキでした。）
