I managed to meet the deadlines for my jobs, and I have been enjoying free
time even if it is temporary. This afternoon I was under Omisaki Bridge for
Japanese sea bass, where I did not see any lure fisherman like me but only
several bait fishermen. They told me that lures had not been very effective
especially during the daytime. Unfortunately it soon turned out that they were
correct. While I saw some of them catch small and medium-sized bass, I didn't
catch any.
（仕事の締め切りに何とか間に合った私は、つかの間のこととはいえ、自由な時間を満喫しているのでした。今日の午後は、スズキを求めて、大海崎橋の下に行きました。私のようなルアー釣り師は一人もおらず、数人のエサ釣り師の方々のみ、いらっしゃいました。彼らによると、とりわけ日中の間は、ルアーはそれほど効果的ではないようです。残念ながら、彼らが正しいことがすぐに明らかとなりました。何人かの皆さんが、小型から中型のスズキを釣られる一方で、私には何も釣れないのでした。）
Instead of catching fish, I picked up the litter as usual. Then, I drove to
under Nakaumi Ohashi Bridge, which they say is one of the best spots to catch
Japanese sea bass now. There I didn’t see any fisherman. It was kind of boring,
so I left the spot after making only several casts. I also wanted to save my
energy, because I was going to fish at Ohtoko-bana tomorrow morning for the
first time since January. See you soon, Ohtoko-bana regulars!
（私は魚を釣る代わりに、例によってゴミを拾いました。そして、中海大橋の下まで車を走らせました。今の時期、スズキがよく釣れる場所の一つだそうです。そこには釣り人の姿がありませんでした。なんだか退屈でしたので、私は数投だけして帰りました。私はまた、エネルギーを温存しておきたくもあったのです。なぜなら明日の朝、１月以来初めてとなる大床鼻への釣行を計画しているからです。大床鼻の常連の皆さん、もうじきお会いしましょう！）

大床鼻よりも歩きますが、絶海の海があるのです。
