(No. 43) Won Third Prize in “Sea Bass Party” (「シーバス・パーティー」にて三位入賞)

I arrived at the same spot as yesterday evening around Omisaki Bridge before dawn. Unlike then, the surface of the water was calm as a mirror. I didn’t catch any fish but a ray and soon time was up. I drove to Yumigahama Beach in Yonago City, the meeting place of the event. The result of the competition was announced, and I won third prize. My fish is 75 cm long, but the first fish is 85 cm. Amazing. Before the announcement, guest pro fishermen gave us very informative lectures on how to catch Japanese sea bass effectively in this area. Three different methods were cited, and I found that what I did to catch my fish happened to be one of them.

（夜明け前に、大海崎橋のたもとの昨夕と同じ場所に到着しました。前回と異なり、水面は凪いでいて、まるで鏡のように穏やかです。エイ以外は何も釣れないまま、すぐに制限時間が来てしまいました。イベントの集合会場である米子市の弓ヶ浜海岸へ向かいました。大会の結果が発表され、私は三位に入賞です。私の釣ったのは75センチでしたが、優勝された方の魚は85センチもの大きさでした。驚きです。結果発表の前には、ゲストとして来られたプロの釣り人から、この地域でスズキを効果的に釣るための、とても役に立つレクチャーがありました。３つの異なる釣り方が言及されたのですが、私は、たまたまそのうちの１つを実践したため魚が釣れたのだと気づきました。）
