I am apt to take out only a limited number of lures that I feel like using on a day, regardless of objective probability of catching fish on the lures. I went to Maruiwa in Owashi this morning, and my arsenal consisted of only 3 lures as shown in one of the above photos. If you take out a lure that has already proven to be productive or a lure whose fish-catching ability you feel confident about, you may end up relying on it almost exclusively. Today’s 3 American lures have not been productive so far in Japan, and that’s why I took them out to catch amberjacks. I am not very sure if all of them are truly effective in catching fish in Japan, but I am happy just using them.
