I believe Ohtoko-bana is one of the best rocky shores to fish around my hometown, Matsue. It takes about 20 minutes to get down there from a small parking area on the hillside overlooking the sea. Moving down and up the steep rocky slope makes you out of breath, but often it is worthwhile. When jerking the Super Strike Zig Zag, my favorite American plug, I got a huge fish on. The fish dived down toward the bottom, and the drag of my PENN Torque 5 ran screeching for several seconds. Then, the hook came out. It could be a big yellowtail amberjack. It was gone, but my excitement lingered.
