After living in the United States for 15 years, I came back to my hometown Matsue, a small city in the western part of Japan, in November 2014. I imposed a simple rule on myself. Use only American saltwater lures for at least one year and report what they catch...... When a year had passed since then, I decided not to lift this ridiculous restriction.

(No. 335) No Fish at Etomo Harbor and Owashi Harbor

Catching young Japanese sea bass is not what I really want to do. I needed to bring some fish to a party held by one of my friends last weekend. That’s the only reason why last time I used the Sea Striker Got-Cha plugs, which I usually don’t like to use very much because of its ability to catch too small fish. So this morning I returned to my former self. I primarily used big American plugs. Fortunately, young Japanese sea bass didn’t attack the plugs. Unfortunately, any big fish didn’t attack the plugs, too.
