About this blog (このブログのこと)

My photo
After living in the United States for 15 years, I came back to my hometown Matsue, a small city in the western part of Japan, in November 2014. I imposed a simple rule on myself. Use only American saltwater lures for at least one year and report what they catch...... When a year had passed since then, I decided not to lift this ridiculous restriction.

(No. 29) Only Photos at Ohtoko-bana

I went to Ohtoko-bana in Izumo City, but the waves were much higher than I had expected. It was a heavy swell. The violent waves were washing over the rocks from which I had hoped to fish. Some birds were hovering over the choppy blue water, as if they had been tempting me, but I made a U-turn without even taking out my rod and reel. A rice ball, which would have been my snack on the rocks, and Super Strike Zig Zag, my favorite American plug, were seeing the rough sea disappointedly.
