According to the “Sanin Fishing Spot Guidebook”, which I mentioned in my previous post, there are a few nice spots in the town of Aika, too. The book says the spots are in the neighborhood of the Mutsubo hamlet, and you may catch Japanese sea bass there. So I went to Mutsubo for the first time in my life.
（前回の投稿で触れた『山陰の釣り場総覧』によると、秋鹿町にも良い釣り場がいくつかあるようです。六坊集落の近くにある釣り場で、スズキがよく釣れるとのこと。私は、生まれて初めて六坊へ行ってみました。）
When I went out of the Mutsubo Tunnel, the sea came into view and I saw one of the spots below, but I couldn't find how to get there. I just took photos of the hamlet and gave up the spot, which is called Yabuchi. Instead I ventured into the next town, Onoze, which I visited for the first time too.
（六坊トンネルを抜けると海が見え、釣り場の一つが眼下に確認できましたが、そこへ行く道が分かりません。集落の写真だけ撮り、矢淵と呼ばれるその釣り場はあきらめました。代わりに私は、魚瀬という隣町へ向かったのです。ここもまた初めての場所です。）
I tried at the rocky place called Bettari, and then at Onoze Harbor. It was a bit too windy, but the weather was fine and the sea was beautiful. I took photos of the views, and then of myself using the self-timer of my camera, because I didn’t catch any fish.
（まず、ベッタリと呼ばれる磯で、続いて魚瀬港で釣りました。風は少し強めでしたが、天気は良好で海が綺麗でした。景色の写真を撮り、それから、カメラのセルフタイマーを使って自分自身を撮りました。なぜなら、魚が何も釣れなかったからです。）
When I came back to my car after fishing, I exchanged friendly greetings with a local lady with two kids walking around the parking lot. She said, “Caught anything?” I replied, “Unfortunately no. Seems a bit too early.” She said, “I heard fish is not yet around.” I didn’t catch any fish, but it was fun to chat with local residents.
（釣りを終えて車のところに戻ると、地元の女性がお子さん二人を連れて駐車場の近くを散歩中でしたので、挨拶をしました。女性が「釣れましたかね？」と尋ねます。私は「なんだい釣れませんでしたわ。まだちょっと早いみたいで」と答えました。すると女性は「魚はまだ釣れんて聞いちょうますわ」とのこと。何も釣れませんでしたが、地元の人とおしゃべりするのは楽しいものです。）
